On Friday, I was one lucky lady and Aaron took the day off! I couldn't believe my ears when he said he was taking the day off. It only seemed natural since he had some vacation time left, AND it just happened to be the BYU Bowl Game. Aaron's Uncle Ray and Aunt Kathy invited us up to their vacation home in Midway (they live in Houston, so we take every chance to see them when they are in Utah). Their daughter, Stacey, and her family were there also. Then, Nicki and her family came up as well. So much fun! The guys all headed downstairs to watch the game while the kids played games with each other. Here are Grace, Max, and Presli playing with Squinkies (I think that's what they were called - Lauren's not old enough to play with them, so I don't know about these things yet.)

The "older girls" played with their ipods and read their newest books from Christmas. Here's Bret:

And Emma:

And Kate:

Emma, Kathy, and Stacey - these ladies made two different types of chili - a traditional red and a white turkey. They were both SO good! It was nice to sit back while they did everything (even though I offered my help multiple times. Ha ha!).

Bret, Jaycee, and Nicki. Love these ladies!

We all ate lunch during half time, and then it was back to the basement for the men. I loved hearing the yelling from them, and you could totally tell if the Cougs were doing a good or bad thing.
Lauren woke up from her nap and was in heaven playing with her cousins. They gave her a balloon and she just ran around squealing. Too funny!

Then, the girls started playing sets and runs. Its a fun card game that my mom and her friends always play together so I'm glad that I've played it before and knew what I was doing.

Lauren wanted to sit up with her cousins. I love that her head barely comes over the table.

After the Cougs had their last second win (It was TOO close for my comfort, but it made it nice that all the men were so happy), we showed the family the dice game we played on Christmas Eve. They loved it. Grace won the first round and Emma won the second game. We laughed the whole time we were playing because Ray and Aaron are so competitive and were so funny every time they rolled the die.
We headed home around 5:30 and realized we were hungry. Since we were driving down I-80, and there's a new Chick-fil-A in Sugarhouse, we stopped by for some dinner on the run. Lauren is a smart little girl, and she loves the Chick-fil-A shakes. The second she sees one of the cups, she starts freaking out until she gets some. Well, I decided to just hand her the shake so I wouldn't have to keep turning around (because for some reason, my morning sickness has been coming back lately and I get sick pretty easy). I didn't think she could do too much damage with the shake. I was WRONG. Oh, my goodness! How does so much shake get outside the cup in 10 minutes? It was all over Lauren's face, neck, clothes, and of course, car seat.

She was in heaven, so we just laughed about it.

I really wish the pictures could do the mess justice. She was covered in chocolate chip peppermint shake!

Aaron took her inside, stripped her down, and just let her play in the kitchen sink. We decided to just bathe her there to minimize the mess. We fed her dinner, and then Aaron gave her an Oreo (we sound like we only feed her junk food, but she really didn't get much shake IN her mouth). Well, the Oreo ended up being a bigger mess than normal. I guess she was just in a messy mood and wanted food all over her face and hands. At least she's happy!
