I can't believe my baby girl is 18 months old! Where did time go? She is such a sweet baby girl, even when she's been sick for the last week, she just wants to cuddle. On Monday, I could tell she didn't feel good. Tuesday, she woke up and had an awful cough and looked miserable. I called the doctor, and they had an opening that morning. She has her first ear infection! Poor thing. It just broke my heart. Thank goodness for modern medicine and antibiotics. We went back to the doctor on Thursday for her 18 month check up (because for some reason, they couldn't do it at the same time. What ever.). I couldn't believe how her stats changed this time. My active little Lauren is now little! Ha ha! She weighs 22 pounds 12 ounces (29%) and 31.25 inches tall (38%). I think she's going to take after me when it comes to how tall she's going to be. Granted, I am the shortest girl in my family. Even though she's sick, and just got a shot, she still "smiled" for me for a picture (I ask her to show me her teeth, and this is the face she pulls.).

Lauren is right on with all of her developmental milestones. She knows her shapes. She can say the sounds for lots of animals (tiger is my favorite... cutest little growl you'll ever hear!). She's got rhythm! Any time there's a song with a beat, she'll start bobbing her head, and dancing around. She loves her cousins, or anyone that's around her age. She thinks its so much to play with other kids. I hope she loves her baby sister just as much! She will run to the door anytime someone knocks on the door or rings the doorbell. The bath is still her favorite pastime. She could spend hours in there if we let her (or had the time!). Her eating habits have changed a lot, but Dr. Doug said that is totally normal. Some days she likes some food, and the next day, she doesn't want any of it. So much for leftovers! Aaron and I are so in love with this little bug of ours. Lauren is so precious and sweet. She makes us laugh all the time! I can't wait to see how she reacts to having a baby around. I know that the first 18 months of her life have flown by, and I'm pretty sure the next 18 years will go in a blink of an eye.
